VESNA SHAWL
Vesna Shawl draws inspiration from spring herself, from soft scatterings of early flowers to the graceful unfurling of new fern shoots. Worked at a loose gauge using just two skeins of fingering weight yarn, the piece is light yet surprisingly generous in size.
The shawl combines garter stitch with airy lace into a delightfully entertaining knit of the best “just one more row” kind. Two halves of the shawl mirror each other with colors inverted - an approach that allows to use up all available yarn from both skeins and to adjust the pattern to available yardage. The lace pattern is both written out row-by-row and charted, with video support included.
This pattern was specifically designed to make variegated skeins shine, but works beautifully with almost any colorway.
