STRAWFLOWER SHAWL

During colder months, when usual flowers are gone from our gardens, we can still enjoy the beauty of those that are everlasting. Strawflowers are among the most marvelous of their kind. The unique texture of petals and vivid blooms of strawflowers were the inspiration behind my design.

The pattern was designed to highlight the beauty of combining kid mohair with fingering weight yarn. The shawl is completed in a V-shape which is easy to knit and very comfortable to wear. Light weight and generous size make it a lovely addition to transitional weather wardrobes. Alternating stripe patterns keep a crafter entertained and are very satisfying to knit. The length of a shawl can be increased/decreased to use up all the yarn from a skein without any leftovers.
