FLUTTER AND BLOOM SHAWL

This shawl is a tribute to the warmth, vibrancy, and fleeting beauty of a Californian summer. It was designed as a two-skein project to showcase magical Summer Solstice colorways by A Verb For Keeping Warm inspired by Monarch butterflies and California poppies. And so the piece captures the delicate balance of movement and stillness — of flutter and bloom.

Worked in a V-shape that drapes effortlessly, the design features Estonian braids, simple lace, and seed stitch. The edges are polished with built-in i-cord that is continued in the i-cord bind off as well. Instructions are both charted and written out.

This knit is an invitation to linger in the moment and let your stitches echo the gentle rhythms of summer ⚘
