ASPERITAS SCARF
If the quintessence of coziness had to be expressed in a knit item, it would definitely be this scarf. Soft and fluffy, generously sized and full of delicious texture, Asperitas Scarf is calling to hug you in the warmest, most comfortable embrace.
This knit offers a modern twist (ha!) on the classic arans. Inspired by asperitas clouds that create mesmerizing undulating patterns in the sky, the design features an array of different cables combined in an asymmetric composition. The cabled edges and the wide ribbing at the ends that flows seamlessly into the pattern polish it off.
Asperitas can be worked in worsted weight yarn held together with a strand of fluff like Suri alpaca or mohair, or in chunky weight yarn held single. The length of the scarf is easily adjustable to any desired, with three sizes provided for yarn usage estimation. The pattern contains both the charts and row-by-row instructions, plus a video example of how to knit cables without the cable needle.
