APRIL WIND SHAWL

Light and airy, and at the same time warm and soft, this shawl hugs you just like gentle April wind. Its generous size combined with the light weight make it a great companion for that fickle in between seasons weather.

This pattern was designed to highlight the beauty of combining kid mohair with variegated fingering weight yarn. The alternating stripe patterns are easy to memorize and very satisfying to knit. Pick any two colors and see the pattern do its magic. April Wind will just fly off your needles ♡

The shawl is knit from the corner in the shape of a skewed triangle. Tassels can be added to make corners look more polished. Neither yarn weight nor gauge is critical, and the number of section repeats can be adjusted as well depending on the available yardage and the desired size of the finished shawl. This way, you can use all the yarn from a skein without leftovers and waste.
